Target Audience:
This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists involved in the clinical care of patients with Renal Cell Carcinoma.

Program Goal:
This activity provides clinicians with a comprehensive update on recent advances in the treatment of RCC and the role of mTOR Inhibitors and will discuss recommendations for the integration of findings into clinical practice.

Objectives:
  • After participating in this activity, the participants will be able to:
    1. Discuss current treatment paradigms in advanced RCC and provide supporting pivotal evidence.
    2. Describe the benefits and limitations of current treatment approaches for patients with advanced RCC.
    3. Explain the rationale for mTOR inhibition as a treatment strategy for RCC.
    4. Discuss recent clinical trial results for mTOR inhibitors in the treatment of RCC.
    5. Discuss evolving clinical guidelines for the treatment of patients with advanced RCC.
    6. Describe the rationale of current clinical trials and how emerging clinical data may impact the treatment of patients with advanced RCC.
    7. Apply an evidence-based approach to integration of clinical findings for new agents and novel treatment approaches and implement changes in clinical practice to optimize the management of patients with advanced RCC.
